THE GOOD LIFE WITH DR. DANNY - ”DR NATHAN BARCZI - ENGAGING THE MIND WITH A PASTORS HEART”
How should a Christian wrestle faithfully with suffering? Can God use suffering in our lives to shape us? In what way might the idea of the image of God be a robust way of safeguarding human dignity? Why does gene editing require conversations from multiple disciplines intersecting science and theology? These are the type questions that Dr. Nathan Barczi engages in his work as a pastor, chaplain, economist, and theologian. Psalm 104:24 says, “How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.”
Dr. Nathan Barczi is Associate Director and Senior Theologian for the Octet Collaborative at MIT. He has served as Associate Pastor at Christ the King Presbyterian Church since 2014. He holds a PhD in theology from the University of Nottingham and a PhD in economics from MIT. He did his undergraduate work at Stanford University in his native Silicon Valley. He lives with his wife and three children in Somerville.
