THE GOOD LIFE WITH DR. DANNY - ”DR. MIA CHUNG-YEE - MUSIC AND HUMAN FLOURISHING”
"Music and Human Flourishing"
Dr. Mia Chung-Yee
How does God lead a girl who was born in Madison, Wisconsin and grew up in Washington, D.C. to become a world-renowned recitalist, concerto soloist, and chamber musician who performed extensively in North America, Europe, Asia, and Central America? How is it that she is also a master teacher and speaker? Why did God lead her to be the founder of a Christian Study Center at MIT? This is the story of Dr. Mia Chung-Yee. As in 1 Corinthians 10:31, she does everything “to the glory of God.”
Dr. Mia Chung-Yee is the Executive Director, Founder, and Board Chair of the Octet Collaborative at MIT. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College, a master’s degree from Yale University, and doctorate from The Julliard School. She was Professor of Music in Residence at Gordon College from 1991-2011 and joined the faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music as Professor of Musical Studies in 2012.
