Dr. Iwnetim (Tim) Abate is an incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is the Principal Investigator of the Abate Group. His work combines electrochemistry, X-ray and electrochemical characterization with quantum mechanical simulations to design materials for decarbonization and sustainability. He completed his Materials Science and Engineering Ph.D. at Stanford. He was born and raised in Ethiopia. He is married to Dr. Loza Tadesse. They have one daughter, Mary.

She is married to Andrew. They have two children, David & Chloe.

Richard Ibekwe is a Nuclear Science and Engineering PhD candidate at MIT working at the Plasma Science and Fusion Center, dedicated to long-term fusion research, focusing on magnet technology. His research involves the development of high-temperature superconducting cables and magnets that are tolerant to dropouts (defects that cause a local drop in critical current density). His research is part of the SPARC project. He graduated from MIT with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Science and Engineering and in Mechanical Engineering.

Dr. Paul Kengor is Senior Director and Chief Academic Fellow for The Institute for Faith and Freedom and Professor of Political Science at Grove City College. He is a Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution, and Peace at Stanford University. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Pittsburgh where he also graduated with his bachelor’s degree, and a master’s from American University. He is married to Susan. They have eight children, two of which are adopted.

Dr. Sheila Foster Fabiano is a third-generation missionary who was born and raised in Zambia, Central Africa where her paternal grandparents as well as her parents lived and worked as missionaries. After completing degrees in nursing and biblical studies from Rutgers University and Regent College, respectively, she went to Angola in 1979 to serve first as a pediatric nurse practitioner and part-time Bible teacher. She is now a full-time faculty member of Instituto Superior de Teologia Evangelica no Lubango in Angola. Her Ph.D. is from Trinity International University.

Why would a professor with two doctorate degrees embark on a 3,901 mile summer cycling journey across America, on a route that took two months and two days to complete? This is the story of Dr. David Gustafson. In the spirit of James 1:22, he wanted to do more than hear, learn, write, and teach about evangelism. He was determined to do evangelism.
Dr. David Gustafson is the author of Gospel Witness Through the Ages: A History of Evangelism (2022). He also wrote Gospel Witness: Evangelism in Word and Deed (2019). He is Chair of the Mission and Evangelism Department at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. His expertise includes evangelism, Evangelical Free Church history, and missional praxis. He earned his Master of Divinity and Master of Theology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, his Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Philosophy from Linköping University. He and his wife, Sharon, have 4 children.

Danny Yamashiro is the radio and podcast host of The Good Life with Dr. Danny, a daily Christian talk show in New England on WEZE and WROL of Salem Media Group Boston. He is a chaplain at MIT and co-chairperson of the Cambridge Roundtable on Science and Religion. He has ministered in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, North America, South America, in the Pacific and Atlantic islands. He earned his Ph.D. from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School with research on the formation of American presidents at the intersection of childhood trauma and religious education. His master’s with a concentration in government is from Harvard Extension School. Earlier degrees are from Talbot School of Theology and Biola University. Danny miraculously survived falling 400 feet from a cliff in Hawaii while free climbing, at age 18. He is the founder at president of JCCY, Inc., with Formation Institute, a division based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Danny is married to Jamie. They have three adult children.
