Robert Meyer leads the Boston University Navigators team for their ministry to international students. He and his wife Teague and their sons Efesson and Biruk served as church planters in Angola for ten years with a church denomination (Igreja de Cristo em eng Angola) where he taught theology in churches and an evangelical seminary. Robert graduated from Harding University and Harding School of Theology with his bachelor’s in Bible and Ministry and a Master of Divinity, respectively.

Jeffrey Johnson is an Assistant Professor at Eastern Nazarene College. He spent most of his career in sales and marketing including 17 years in the mortgage banking world. He worked for companies such as GMAC, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage & Citizens Bank. He operated his own mortgage brokerage business from 2002-2008. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in Journalism and Creighton University with an MBA. He is married to Deborah. They have two children: Ryan and Kayla.

He also played on the Harvard baseball team as a pitcher. He earned his Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Alex has also preached in Mali, India, and Hawaii.

Dr. Iwnetim (Tim) Abate is an incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is the Principal Investigator of the Abate Group. His work combines electrochemistry, X-ray and electrochemical characterization with quantum mechanical simulations to design materials for decarbonization and sustainability. He completed his Materials Science and Engineering Ph.D. at Stanford. He was born and raised in Ethiopia. He is married to Dr. Loza Tadesse. They have one daughter, Mary.

Danny Yamashiro

Danny Yamashiro is a faculty chaplain at MIT and co-chairperson of the Cambridge Roundtable on Science and Religion. He is a guest lecturer at Harvard University. His PhD explored the formation of American presidents through childhood trauma. He hosts a daily radio/podcast, is an award winning novelist of young adult fiction, and has ministered in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North America, South America, and the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Pacific islands. At 18, he miraculously survived falling 400 feet from a cliff in Hawaii. Ordained by the EV Free Church of America, he is the founder and president of JCCY, Inc, a faith-based non-profit organization that he has led for over 30 years. He is married to Jamie and they have three adult children.
