Dave was also one of the founders and leaders - for seventeen years - of the Greater Boston Prayer Summit, a coalition of Boston area churches and ministries dedicated to prayer, unity, and spiritual awakening. He and his wife, Ingrid, have six children and eight grandchildren.

He worked as the Veteran Coordinator of King County, Seattle Washington for the PTSD Foundation of America. He is now Executive Director and Chapter Director of California for the Birdwell Foundation. He’s married to Kathryn. They have four children: Titus, Faythe, Emily, and Christian.

Dr. David Mahan is a lecturer in Religion and Literature at Yale University’s Institute of Sacred Music. A graduate of Yale Divinity School in religion and literature (1995) and winner of the Religion and the Arts Prize, he has focused on the relationship between works of the literary imagination and the tasks of Christian theology. He is the Executive Director of Rivendell Institute at Yale. David graduated from Miami University of Ohio, earned his Master of Arts in Religion from Yale Divinity School, and his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge.
